This is your playbook for getting the most out of your coaching relationship. Coach Tina created the pagers in this book to explore coaching with a hint of history, a good grasp of the craft, and to inspire coaching strategies and techniques. Coaching by design can alter your actions and transform your thinking to get the results you desire.
This book amplifies using coaching as a tool to change and or expand your mindset to be more influential, and more impactful. Thus, as you are better equipped to serve others you expedite your success story.
Coaching uses a number of different techniques throughout the results-oriented discovery journey. Techniques like The 3-Step Coaching Process, Laser Coaching, and the use of open-ended questions as opposed to closed-ended questions as a primary technique. Closed-ended questions drive yes or no answers. Yes or no answers are not desirable, as they limit the depth of thought and restrict the conversation. On the other hand, open-ended questions solicit thought, deep thinking, and pondering. This is the type of behavior that the coach is delighted to receive. The client is more engaged in the conversation; thus, has a better opportunity to have the “aha” moments, make shifts, or completely buy into new or different behaviors that are lasting and sustainable. One might say, "that's cool."
